Deal district has plenty of charter boats covering most of the south east coastline with some going afar a field as the French coast.
Charter boat fishing is available all year round, depending on weather conditions of course.

You name it, you can probably catch it along this stretch of coast.  Most of the species you would associate with the UK are in abundance.  Species such as Rays, Bass, Cod, Conger, Tope, Flatties (Plaice, Dabs, Flouders, Turbot etc), Smoothhounds, Wrasse, Bream, Pollack etc, they are all here.  Any of the charter boat skippers will keep you pointed in the right direction as to what rod, reel, bait etc you need, some will provide it for you, at a cost of course, but it does save you having to fetch gear with you if you're from out of the area.  Boat angling can often be more productive, (size wise), than sea fishing from the shore.  Deal charter boats fish over wrecks and reefs plus over sand, the choice is normally left to the skippers to put you on the fish, they obviously want you to have the best chance of catching so you will want to go out with them again.
